Sunbathers & walkers: Go early for cool temps and softer light. Use SPF 30+, sunglasses, and a hat. Drink water.

Shell seekers & shark-tooth hunters: Work the wrack line and darker gravel patches. The low-tide window near early afternoon is your best bet.

Skim boarders & beginner surfers: Small, clean waves make it a mellow practice day. Mind other beachgoers.

Light SE breeze, clear sky, and a warm climb toward the low-to-mid 80s make for an easy beach day. Near-shore seas sit around 1 ft with only a small shorebreak. UV is moderate now and trends high around midday; hydrate and reapply. Lightning risk is low for the next couple of hours. Red tide reports remain minimal for this area.

Tide timing: Lemon Bay/Englewood shows a late-morning low around 10:45 AM and the next high near 4:30 PM. Expect firmer sand and wider swash now, then a steady push of water and bait as the tide turns.

Sunbathers: Set up early or late; use shade breaks at noon when the index peaks. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and extra water.
Beach walkers: Best footing through late morning low; turn with the incoming for an easy return loop.
Shell seekers: Work the wrack line right after low; fresh pieces collect as the water begins to rise.
Fossil shark-tooth hunters: Hunt the shell hash in the swash zone; sift slow and steady as the tide flips.
Skim boarders: Smooth lanes at and just after low. Look for thin water over hard-packed sand with a small lip.
