No red-tide issues reported locally.

Sunbathers & walkers: Go early for cool temps and softer light. Use SPF 30+, sunglasses, and a hat. Drink water.

Shell seekers & shark-tooth hunters: Work the wrack line and darker gravel patches. The low-tide window near early afternoon is your best bet.

Skim boarders & beginner surfers: Small, clean waves make it a mellow practice day. Mind other beachgoers.

Fishing (surf, bay, nearshore): Try the tide changes. In the surf, shrimp or sand fleas for pompano and whiting. In Lemon Bay, cast soft plastics along mangroves for snook or trout. Nearshore, watch for birds and run small metal spoons for mackerel.

Stay aware of flags and local advisories. Pack what you bring in. Leave only footprints.

Make your beach day awesome with our merchandise! check it out!

Red tide reports remain minimal for this area.

Tide timing: Lemon Bay/Englewood shows a late-morning low around 10:45 AM and the next high near 4:30 PM.
The morning at Manasota Beach starts off calm and comfortable — nearly 80 °F with gentle ESE breezes. With the tide dropping toward a 10:16 AM low, it’s a sweet stretch for beach walkers and shell‑seekers: wander the wrack line now while the tide pulls out, and keep an eye for fossil shark teeth or fine sea‑glass. Skim boarders and surfers may find small, rippable waves as the wind picks up later, but mornings are best. Sunbathers should aim for first light to midday — UV climbs into the “very high” range by noon, so hat, shades and frequent re‑application of sunscreen are smart. For fishing, the falling tide into low around 10 AM opens good bay flats and passes for spotted seatrout and mangrove snapper using live bait or soft plastics near structure. The 5:30 PM high tide offers another prime window. Mid‑afternoon storms may build, so keep a watchful eye sky‑ward. The red‑tide risk is currently low, so beach access is good. Whatever you’re after — from sun lounging to tooth hunting to casting lines — today’s conditions give a solid mix of calm morning and active afternoon windows.
